Cornwall Coastal Path

Cornwall is famous for its coastal paths but probably the most famous of them is the South West coast path or National trail is over 600 miles of coastal walking. The South West coast path runs from Exmoor National Park along to Poole harbour in Dorset. The path is the best way to get the best out of Britain’s coastline, heritage and wild life. It is rare for anyone to find enough time to tackle the whole South West coast path in one go and so people tend to take the walk in stages.

If you are in the area for a while and are able to take a few days to follow the coastal path then you can take a few of the 53 sections of the park to cross in those few days. There is an official guide to the coastal path so you can work out what you will see along the way when you are choosing your walk. The short guides are meant to be used with the actual guide book and will give you an idea of what you might encounter at different stages of the walk and how to get to places by public transport. The guidebook includes a list of ferries that you can take and places where you can stay or stop for a bite to eat along the way.
